Re-affirmation Wedding Ceremony
When couples get married outside of Auckland, e.g. London, Sydney or Christchurch, they may want, on their return, to share the occasion with their local family and friends. A vow re-affirmation ceremony does this.
Apart from a different location, sometimes the only difference between the first (legal) ceremony and a vow re-affirmation is a brief reference in the opening remarks regarding the status of the service and subtle changes to the words of the vow, ring giving and end pronouncement.
It is important to realise that a re-affirmation ceremony has no legal status for it is an offence to conduct a marriage ceremony without a valid licence. Therefore, there are no legal documents to sign.
I have conducted numerous re-affirmation ceremonies over the years. For further information please contact me between 8am and 8pm on (09) 489-6288, or email me by clicking here .
